Teriyaki Turkey and Rice

 1 cup brown basmati rice
 1 lb ground turkey
 2 tbsp vegetable oil
 2 broccoli crowns
 ½ cup teriyaki sauce
 4 green onions
 ¼ tsp ground ginger
 2 cloves garlic
 2 tbsp soy sauce

Cook rice according to package instructions.

Wash produce. Trim the broccoli into florets. Mince the garlic and slice the green onions thinly. Keep white and green parts of onions separate.

Season the ground turkey. In medium bowl add the whites of the onions, ground ginger, 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce, and the minced garlic.

Drizzle around a tablespoon of vegetable oil or sesame oil into a large skillet or wok. Cook broccoli approximately 8 minutes, or until crisp tender. Remove from pan and keep warm.

Drizzle another tablespoon of oil into the same skillet and brown the ground turkey.

When the turkey is finished cooking, add the teriyaki sauce and the other tablespoon of soy sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.

Place serving of cooked brown rice onto plate. Top with broccoli and then the meat mixture. Sprinkle with the onion greens and sesame seeds (optional).
