Spray bottom of pie plate with non-stick cooking spray. Gather all ingredients. For best results I use Kraft small marshmallows and Kellogg's Rice Krispies.
Melt butter over low heat and add in marshmallows. Continue cooking on low heat until marshmallows are melted.
Remove half of the marshmallow mixture and place in separate bowl. This will be used for coloring.
Add in red and yellow food coloring until it appears a nice orange color. Set aside.
Prepare the other half of the melted marshmallows by adding 3 cups of the Rice Krispies to the white marshmallows. Press this mixture into the bottom of your pie plate, molding it like a pie crust.
Mix the colored marshmallows with remaining 3 cups of cereal. Press this into the center of the 'crust.' Top with some orange sprinkles or orange sugar if desired.
Slice the pie into 6 or 8 pieces.
Top with whipped cream if desired. Enjoy!
