Irish Spaghetti is a quick and easy twist on traditional spaghetti recipes, and is a perfect family favorite for upcoming St. Patrick’s Day! ?
On our last girls’ weekend getaway, a discussion ensued about some of our favorite family recipes. Being that three of our Stickers & Stilettos gals are related, they brought up this Irish spaghetti recipe that their grandma makes. I decided to add it to this week’s menu, since it’s perfect for upcoming St. Patrick’s Day!
This recipe has few ingredients, is easy to throw together, and the kids are sure to ask for seconds. Sounds perfect to me!
When I first heard that cream of mushroom soup and condensed tomato soup were two ingredients, I was intrigued how this could be any good. But it sure is! It is creamier than spaghetti, and almost tastes like a cross between spaghetti and stroganoff, with a bit of a kick from the Tabasco sauce and chili powder.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, toast some garlic bread, and this is the perfect dinner that even your kids are sure to love!
In a large saucepan, cook the ground beef and onion until meat is browned.
Add the cream of mushroom soup and condensed tomato soup, chili powder, Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil, stirring often.
Reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package directions.
Serve sauce over hot cooked noodles
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Enjoy!
