Whether you are hosting a bee and honey themed party or just need a new snack for the kiddos, you will love this honeycomb snack mix!
When I started planning my sister in laws’ ‘Mama to Bee‘ shower, I knew I had to include Honeycomb cereal. Everything at the party had sweet little touches of bees, yellow, and honey. (More details on the shower later, I promise!)
The cereal is an easy and inexpensive way to stick to the honey theme. It would be super cute on top of a cupcake as well.
The cereal was the perfect complement to pretzels, yogurt covered raisins, M&M candies and almonds. My kids have gobbled up all of the leftovers from the party and requested that I buy more of the cereal.
The M&M’s were sorted out from red, white and blue mix and regular colored M&M’s. I often do this instead of paying more for bulk colored M&M’s…those can really add up! I use the extra colors to make cookies later.
The sweet little bamboo cones were perfect for single servings and keeping guests from having to reach in the same bowl. (Covid ?) The cones can be found here and are available in many sizes (mine were 5in)!
It was tricky to get the cones to stand up or lay down properly without spilling their contents. So I again decided to hire my handy husband to make a holding tray. This turned out so cute and my 7 and 9 year olds were adorable passing it around. Everyone loved this salty and sweet mix!
