This delicious and easy pasta salad is the perfect addition to any party or potluck!
This salad is kid friendly and a total crowd pleaser! With pasta and fresh veggies, I am not upset when my kiddos gobble this right up.
The recipe is supposed to be a copycat recipe from a local deli of ours….where are my Arthur’s Garden Deli fans?! Arthur’s makes the most amazing pasta salad that everyone raves about. I like to order it through their catering service for birthday parties. Their pasta is so good! A while ago, a friend told me that they used Wishbone dressing in their pasta salad recipe. I gave it a whirl and though not exactly the same, it is so close and so easy! This is the only pasta salad recipe that you need!
This Wishbone Itailan Salad Dressing is available almost anywhere, making this salad easy and uncomplicated to make. This recipe is great with the classic or zesty variety of dressing. To make, you will need two bottles or around 20-25 ounces. I often add a little extra right before serving. 🙂
Barilla pasta is excellent in this recipe, but any rotini or tri-colored rotini works well in this. I usually cook the pasta for 8 minutes and it turns out wonderful. Make sure to rinse the pasta with cold water after draining.
For the veggies…add anything you like! Often, I omit the tomatoes because my kids just push them aside to get to the noodles. You could also add in bell peppers or even carrots!
Check out the full recipe for this easy pasta salad below:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Cook 'al dente' and pasta will still be slightly firm when done. Rinse with cold water.
While pasta is cooking, wash and chop the vegetables. There is no need to cook or steam the vegetables. Tomatoes may be halved or quartered. Cucumbers should be chopped. Trim the broccoli into florets.
Transfer cooked and rinsed pasta into a large bowl and stir an entire bottle of Wishbone Italian Dressing. Toss to coat.
Add in desired amount of prepared veggies. Taste and add more dressing as necessary. The pasta tends to absorb the dressing, so more may be added later as well.
Refridgerate for 1 hour and ENJOY!
