Charcuterie Wreath

holiday charcuterie wreath

Christmas season is upon us! Celebrate in delicious style with this beautiful charcuterie wreath!

A charcuterie board is a great solution for your busy holiday season of hosting! Simply pick up the ingredients ahead of time and bring it all out when you are ready to entertain. This charcuterie wreath is so simple to put together. A few festive ingredients and 10 minutes is all it takes!

To assemble, start with a beautiful round board. This board is now out of stock but here is a similar one. Any round surface would work…even a dinner plate if you would like to make a smaller version.

Layer some fresh herbs in a circle or wreath like shape. Save a few herbs for tucking into the top. These herbs are rosemary and sage. Other pretty additions would be mint, basil and tarragon.

Add in your favorite cheeses. For this board, I wanted to stay away from brighter cheeses like classic yellow cheddar so that it had a Christmas-y look. These cheeses are aged white cheddar, dill havarti (love those little dill flakes!), and cranberry goat cheese. Don’t forget to check your local Aldi for great options because that is where I found these delicious selections. Remember the holiday board on a budget?!

Next I added a few salami selections. Pictured here are genoa salami and sopressata. To create a rosette with the salami, simply fold 6-8 pieces around the rim of a champagne glass. Invert the glass onto a plate and viola!

Then tuck in some other yummy treats that your family will love. Options include, whole grain crackers or crisps, chocolate, cookies, and plenty of nuts! Make sure there is something for everyone!

For the grand finale, add in some clusters of grapes to act as ‘ornaments’ on the wreath. And do not forget to tuck in a few extra herbs along the top and sides. Perfection!

I love the simplicity of the wreath and I think your guests will too. May you have a wonderful Christmas and blessed new year!!!
