School is starting so soon! This year I will have a 1st and 4th grader in school and there are so many things to purchase in order to be prepared; supplies, uniforms, shoes, book bags, planners, etc. The list goes on and on. One thing that we also have to buy are school snacks. Everyday my kids have to take a snack. My 1st grader’s class has snack time in the afternoon because they eat lunch so early and my 4th grader has snack time in the morning because they eat lunch so late. So that means every.single.morning, on top of making sure the kids are ready, and any homework and library books are in their backpacks, they also need to have a snack packed away. Easier said than done.
At the start of school this year, I will also have a 1 week old and an almost 2 year old. I need that snack to be easy and I do NOT want to have to worry about having to keep it cool (my kids like to eat school lunch, so I can’t guarantee there will be a lunch box with an ice pack in their book bag). So I searched through Amazon and Target, trying to find a good mix of easy (mostly healthy) snacks that my kids could grab and throw in their backpacks the night before school, making mornings a tiny bit easier.
Here is what I will be serving for school snacks this year:
-
Annie’s Homegrown Organic Friends Bunny Grahams
- Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs
- Pepperidge Farm Goldfish
- Jack Links Original Beef Jerky
- Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn
- Kind Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Bars
- Annie’s Organic Original Crispy Snack Bars
- Nature Valley Almond Butter Biscuits
- Bare Apple Chips
- Organic Slammers Superfood Snack Pouches
- Sun-Maid Vanilla Yogurt Raisins
-
Annie’s Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks
That is it for my back-to-school snack stash! Let me know if you have any other healthy, store-bought snack ideas that your kids enjoy!
