These days, kids want to be constantly entertained. They want a plan for every day, and a big plan at that. Why aren’t they happy being couch potatoes for a day?! In years past, us gals have done a Summer Pool Tour. Between the five of us, we have 15 kids and one on the way. We each hosted a day where we provided lunch and fun water entertainment. If you don’t have a pool, don’t worry…use a Sprinkler or Slip-N-Slide. Heck, just spray them with a hose!
Another fun idea is a Picnic & Park Tour. Get a few of your mom friends together and each one can host a park in your area and bring the picnic lunch. The kids will have fun no matter what you plan. And, you moms will get to sit and chat while the kids entertain each other for a bit.
A few ideas of things to bring when it’s your turn to host:
- Simple Lunch: Sandwiches, chips, fruit, juice boxes, water and a bag of cookies. Don’t spend too much time on the lunch that it takes the fun out of it!
- Sunblock
- Sidewalk Chalk
- Water Balloons
- Water Guns
- Bubbles
The tour is easy fun for all. Get it on your summer calendar before all your days are booked up! (If you aren’t completely booked already!)
