Jell-O Poke Cake

Yields20 Servings

For Cake
 1 box Duncan Hines white cake mix
 3 large egg whites
 ¼ cup vegetable or canola oil
 1 cup water
For Jello
 2 3 oz boxes Jell-O (here I used red and blue)
 2 cups water
For Topping
 1 tub Cool Whip whipped topping
 assorted sprinkles or fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.)

Bake cake according to package directions. Allow to cool. Gather all ingredients.

Use a long pronged fork or chopstick or skewer to poke many small holes into the cooled cake.

Warm 1 cup of water in microwave for each color Jello that you wish to use in your cake. Warm water for 2 minutes. Then carefully stir in entire Jello packages- one into each bowl.

Use plastic measuring syringe to push Jello mixture into each hole. Alternate red and blue.

Fill all holes! Try to put different amounts of the Jello mixture into each hole.

Cover cake with entire tub of Cool Whip and top with sprinkles or fruit. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
